Injection molding machine is equipment that undergo manufacturing process in producing molded product from all types of plastic material. Injection molding machine FT series (refer figure 1) is divided into two units, clamping unit and injection unit. This description covers the major components in this machine and its function, the special features and the operation of this machine. Figure 1: Injection Molding machine FT series Injection molding machine FT series consists of a few unique major components that are screw, nozzle and nozzle tip, and mold (refer figure 2). Firstly, screw also known as reciprocating screw is made up of injection molding screw and screw tip assembly. This component conveys material to the front of the injection unit and injects the plastic under high pressure into the mold. Next is nozzle and nozzle tip. These two components are placed at the exit point for the plastic resin from the screw and barrel to the mold. Lastly, the mold consists of injection mold and ejector mold. It size and design depend on the part needed to produce. Figure 2: The major components in Injection molding machine FT series Furthermore, this model also comes with user-friendly microprocessor controller (refer figure 1) with a few additional features such as dust, oil proof and colourful touch switch control panel. Besides, this FT Series also equipped with optional items that are close and double loop system for the high precision and stability and shorten the production cycle time. Injection molding process is the main operation in this machine. Firstly, pellets of plastic materials are fed by gravity from a hopper into a heated barrel until they reach molten form. At the heated barrel, there is a motorized screw that mixes the molten pellets and forces them into the end of the barrel. The injection process begins when there is enough material in front of the screw. The screw controlled the pressure and speed while the molten plastic is inserted into the mold through a sprue. Next, to make sure the entire mold cavities are filled, pressure is applied. Then, the plastic is allowed to cool and solidified within the mold. Lastly, open the clamping unit to ejected finished part from the mold. As a conclusion, this machine has all the needed components to enhance its performance. Besides, it is outfitted with all the necessary additional functions, auxiliary equipment and mold to adapt as maximum as possible to a specific production process and obtain high quality product.
